BMW M44

BMW M44

Der BMW M44 ist ein von BMW entwickelter Ottomotor mit Vierventiltechnik. Er basiert auf dem BMW M42 und hatte wie dieser vier Zylinder, zwei obenliegende Nockenwellen, aber einen größeren Hubraum von 1895 cm³ und ein höheres Drehmoment von 180 Nm. Der M44 kam im BMW E36 zum Einsatz, ebenso wie im BMW Z3 Roadster.
