Backup Plan

The Backup Plan sind eine US-amerikanische Hardcoreband aus Long Island.

Die Band wurde 2000 gegründet. Bevor 2002 ihr Debütalbum Horseshoes And Hand Grenades erschien, veröffentlichte sie zwei Splits mit Subterfuge beziehungsweise 48 In The Basement. Das Album wurde von ihr selbst produziert und herausgegeben.

Das Nachfolgealbum Dearest Whomever..., 2003 erschienen, zeigte eine deutliche Veränderung des Stils hin zu mehr Aggressivität, aber auch einem sauberen Sound.

Nach der Veröffentlichung des Albums ist es ruhiger um die Band geworden. Es wurden kaum noch neue Songs geschrieben und es fanden nur noch vereinzelt Konzerte statt. Dafür treten einzelne Bandmitglieder oft bei anderen Bands auf.
