Turlock ist eine US-amerikanische Stadt im Stanislaus County im US-Bundesstaat Kalifornien. Sie hat etwa 64.900 Einwohner (Stand: 2004). Die Stadt liegt bei den geographischen Koordinaten 37,50° Nord, 120,85° West. Das Stadtgebiet hat eine Größe von 34,4 km².

Turlock wurde im Jahr 1871 von John William Mitchell, einem Getreide-Farmer, gegründet.

Bildung

Die Stadt ist Sitz der California State University, Stanislaus.

Im Rhythmus von zwei Jahren wird ein Schüleraustausch der Turlock High School mit den Beruflichen Schulen des Werra-Meißner-Kreises in Witzenhausen veranstaltet.
