Gino Vannelli (* 16. Juni 1952 in Montreal) ist ein kanadischer Jazz-, Rock- und Pop-Sänger.

Der Sohn eines Jazzsängers erlernte als Kind Jazzperkussion und studierte Musiktheorie an der McGill University. Seine erste Band gründete er im Alter von zwölf Jahren, die nächste - Jacksonville 5 - ein Jahr später mit seinem Bruder Joe Vannelli. Im Alter von siebzehn Jahren veröffentlichte er bei RCA Records unter dem Pseudonym Van Elli die Single Never Cry Again.

Anfang der 1970er Jahre ging er mit seinem Bruder in die USA, wo er mit mehreren Alben bei A&M Records bekannt wurde. Mit seinen vom Rhythm and Blues und Jazz beeinflussten Songs trat er im Vorprogramm von Stevie Wonder auf und war der erste weiße Musiker, der in der Sendung Soul Train erschien.

1990 ließ sich Vannelli in Portland (Oregon) nieder, wo er ein eigenes Studio baute und ein Plattenlabel gründete. 1995 und 1998 veröffentlichte er zwei Jazz-orientierte Alben bei Verve Records. Danach nahm er Gesangsunterricht und wandte sich der klassischen Musik zu. Das Album Canto (2003) hatte vor allem in Europa Erfolg. 2006 erschien schließlich das Popalbum These Are The Days. Er hat für seine Alben mit Musikern und Arrangeuren wie Niels Lan Doky, Don Sebesky, Herb Alpert, Jimmy Haslip oder Ernie Watts zusammengearbeitet. Einer seiner bekanntesten Songs ist "Wild Horses".
