Volodia Teitelboim

Volodia Teitelboim (* 17. März 1916 in Chillán; † 31. Januar 2008 in Santiago de Chile; eigentlich Valentín Teitelboim Volosky) war ein chilenisch-jüdischer Kommunist und Schriftsteller.

Er wurde besonders als Freund von Pablo Neruda bekannt, über den er auch (ebenso wie über Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriela Mistral und Vicente Huidobro) eine Biographie verfasste.

1943 veröffentlichte er den Essay „El amanecer del capitalismo y la conquista de América“ („Das Heraufdämmern des Kapitalismus und die Eroberung Amerikas“).

Er ist der Vater von Claudio Teitelboim.
