Bernard Rudofsky

Bernard Rudofsky (* 19. März 1905 in Suchdol nad Odrou, damals Zaucht(e)l, Mähren; † 12. März 1988 New York City) war ein international aktiver Architekt und Kulturtheoretiker, der sich intensiv mit dem Zusammenhang zwischen Lebensstil und Architektur beschäftigte. Er ist der Autor von Veröffentlichungen zum Thema Anonyme Architektur.

Das Museum für angewandte Kunst (Wien) zeigte im Jahre 1987 zu Ehren des Architekten einen Werkschau mit dem Titel "Bernard Rudofsky: Sparta/Sybaris. Keine neue Bauweise - eine neue Lebensweise tut not".

Im Jahr 2009 wurde in Wien Donaustadt (22. Bezirk) der Rudofskyweg nach ihm benannt.
