Bise

Die Bise ist ein trockener, kalter Wind, der kalte Kontinentalluft aus dem Nordosten Europas nach Mitteleuropa befördert. Der Wind erreicht im Schweizer Mittelland wegen der Kanalisierung durch die Alpen und den Jura seine größten Stärken im Genferseeraum, wo bei klassischer Bisenlage nicht selten mittlere Windgeschwindigkeiten von 60 km/h und Böenspitzen bis über 100 km/h registriert werden. Am Bodensee ist die Bise schwächer und äußert sich hier als relativ kühler N-NO Wind mit meist weniger als 6 Beaufort. Auffallend ist auch, dass sich die Bise während der Nacht legt oder zumindest schwächer wird und tagsüber allenfalls wieder an Intensität zunimmt.

Nicht zu verwechseln ist dieser Wind mit der Brise.
