Arunas Rudvalis

Arunas Rudvalis (* 1945) ist ein US-amerikanischer Mathematiker, der sich mit endlichen Gruppen beschäftigt.

Rudvalis promovierte 1969 am Dartmouth College bei Ernst Snapper (Geometric Permutations Representations of Finite Symplectic, Orthogonal, and Unitary Groups). Er ist Professor an der University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Nach ihm ist eine Sporadische Gruppe benannt, die er vorhersagte[1]. Konstruiert wurde sie von John Horton Conway und David Wales[2]
