Avicii (* 8. September 1989 in Stockholm, Schweden) ist der Künstlername von Tim Bergling, einem schwedischen DJ, Remixer und Produzenten.[1] Weitere Künstlernamen von Tim Bergling sind Tim Berg und Tom Hangs.
Bekannt geworden ist er 2010 durch seine Singles My Feelings for You und Seek Bromance.

Biographie
Avicii begann seine Karriere, indem er einen Remix zur Titelmusik des Commodore 64 Spiels “Lazy Jones” erstellte. Daraufhin produzierte er seinen eigenen Track „Lazy Lace“, der kurze Zeit später auf Strike Recordings veröffentlicht wurde.
Seine Musik ist inspiriert u.a. von Laidback Luke, Steve Angello, Tocadisco, Daft Punk, Eric Prydz und Axwell.
Im April 2008 veröffentlichte Avicii den Track „Manman“ über das Label Bedroom Bedlam von Pete Tong, nachdem er den Pete Tong Fast Trax Preis mit 70% der Stimmen gewonnen hatte, woraufhin er viele Angebote erhielt.
Im Mai 2008 unterschrieb er schließlich bei At Night Management und hat zudem im selben Monat einen Deal mit Vicious Grooves abgeschlossen.
Im Sommer 2011 veröffentlichte die britische Sängerin Leona Lewis ihre Comeback-Single "Collide". Als Instrumental für den Track diente das von Avicii produzierte Stück "Penguine", das er bereits seit Ende 2010 bei seinen Liveshows spielte. Dieses sollte ebenfalls im Sommer 2011 als Single-Version mit dem Titel "Fade Into Darkness" released werden. Die Plattenfirma von Avicii ging darauf hin gerichtlich gegen die Veröffentlichung der Single vor.[2]
In der weltweiten DJ Mag-Liste steht er derzeit auf Platz 6. [3]
