Colin Patterson

Colin Patterson (* 13. Oktober 1933 in Hammersmith; † 9. März 1998 in London)[1] war ein britischer Wirbeltier-Paläontologe.

Patterson war Senior Paleontologist am British Museum of Natural History. Er befasste sich insbesondere mit fossilen Fischen und der Verwendung von Methoden der Kladistik in der Paläontologie.

1997 erhielt er die Romer-Simpson-Medaille der Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. Er war Fellow der Royal Society (1993).
