Crystal City ist eine Stadt im US-Bundesstaat Texas im Zavala County, dessen Bezirkshauptstadt sie ist. Sie hat etwa 7200 Einwohner (Stand: Volkszählung 2000) auf einer Fläche von 9,4 km².

Crystal City nennt sich "Welthauptstadt des Spinats".

Internierung von möglicherweise "feindlichen Ausländern"

Nach der Kriegserklärung durch Hitler wurden z. B. deutschstämmige Amerikaner oder Immigranten (enemy aliens) hier während des 2. Weltkriegs durch das US-Justizministerium interniert. Das Lager "Crystal City" hatte verschiedene Abschnitte für die verschiedenen Herkunftsnationalitäten. Als Ausweg aus der Haft gab es während des Krieges bis 1945 die Repatriierung nach Deutschland mittels eines norwegischen Schiffes.
