Capital FM - Das Hauptstadtradio ist ein privater Radiosender aus Bern. Capital FM sendet seit dem 23. Januar 2006 ein Informations- und Musikprogramm für den Kanton Bern. Der Sender bietet stündliche und zur Hauptsendezeit auch halbstündliche Nachrichtenbulletins. Regionale Themen und Verkehrs- und Wetterinformationen werden vertieft.

Musikalisch spielt Capital FM für seine Hörer eine Mischung aus den 80ern und aktuelle Hits und betont die Abwechslung. Zum Moderatorenteam gehören Chefmoderator Dominique Hofer und in der Morgensendung Monika Buser.[1]

Capital FM gehört zum Unternehmensbereich Espace Media des Tamedia-Konzerns.

Standort und Frequenzen

Capital FM hat seinen Hauptsitz in Bern. Der Sender hat die Sendefrequenzen vom ehemaligen Radio Extra Bern übernommen.[2] Es ist über zwei UKW-Frequenzen zu empfangen:[3]

Im Kabelnetz gibt es abweichende Frequenzen, etwa 96.5 MHz und 96.6 MHz in Biel/Bienne.
