John Grogan

John Grogan (* 20. März 1957 in Detroit, Michigan) ist ein erfolgreicher Autor, welcher unter anderem den Bestseller Marley & Ich verfasste.

John Grogan war längere Zeit bei der Sun-Sentinel als Reporter angestellt. Diese Arbeit gab er jedoch auf für eine Stelle als Chefredakteur bei einem Gartenmagazin namens "Organic Gardening". Danach arbeitete er als Kolumnist bei dem "Philadelphia Inquirer", wo eine Sammlung seiner besten Artikel 2007 veröffentlicht wurde, welche sich "Bad Dogs have More Fun" (Böse Hunde haben mehr Spaß) nennt. Ein weiteres Werk, The Longest Trip Home, wurde am 21 Oktober 2008 veröffentlicht.

John Grogan lebt mit seiner Frau Jenny und seinen drei Kindern in Pennsylvania.

Marley & Ich

Eines der bekanntesten Bücher von John Grogan wurde unter dem Titel "Marley & Me" (Marley und ich) veröffentlicht. Es begann damit, dass er in der Kolumne über sein Leben mit seinem Hund Marley berichtete und daraufhin so viele Leserzuschriften erhielt, dass er beschloss ein Buch zu schreiben. Das Buch war monatelang in England und in Amerika ein Bestseller. Es wurde 2008 sehr erfolgreich verfilmt.
