Matthew Stephens (* 4. Januar 1970 in Crewe) ist ein britischer Straßenradrennfahrer aus England.
Matthew Stephens gewann 1989 die Gesamtwertung der Hessen-Rundfahrt. Bei den Olympischen Spielen 1992 in Barcelona nahm er am Straßenrennen teil, wo er den 61. Platz belegte. 1995 gewann er das Tom Simpson Memorial. 1998 wurde er Profi bei dem britischen Radsportteam Harrods-Giant-Sixt-Principia-Finish Power und gewann das Straßenrennen bei der nationalen Meisterschaft. Im nächsten Jahr wechselte Stephens zum Linda McCartney Racing Team. Hier gewann er erneut das Tom Simpson Memorial, nahm im Jahr 2000 am Giro d’Italia teil und gewann 2001 das Manx International. 2003 war er bei der Gesamtwertung der Tour of Northumberland erfolgreich. Seit 2010 fährt Stephens für das Continental Team Sigmasport Specialized.
