Mindscape ist ein US-amerikanischer Computerspieleentwickler und Publisher, ansässig in Novato, Kalifornien.

Firmengeschichte

Die Firma wurde 1980 vom australischstämmigen Roger M. Bouey gegründet. Mindscape begann als Software Publisher im Raum Chicago im US-Bundesstaat Illinois. Eines der ersten Computerspiele welches Mindscape veröffentlichte war Balance of Power von Spieleentwickler Chris Crawford aus dem Jahr 1985. Mindscape brachte unter Anderem viele Computerspiele für den Amiga 500 heraus. Seit 2004 hat Mindscape Büros in Frankreich, England, Irland, Deutschland, Niederlande, Asien, Australien und Lateinamerika. Mindscape hat einen Erlös von 38 Millionen Euro (Stand 2005) und beschäftigt 150 Mitarbeiter.

Im August 2011 wurde das letzte interne Entwicklungsstudio geschlossen und der Rückzug aus dem Computer- und Videospielmarkt angekündigt.[1]
