Myawaddy ist eine Stadt in Myanmar. Sie liegt im Osten des Landes an der Grenze zu Thailand (Mae Sot).[1]

Am 8. November 2010 kam es in der Stadt, einen Tag nach den Wahlen in Myanmar 2010 zu heftigen Gefechten des Militärs mit Aufständischen der Karen-Minorität.[1]

Die Friedensbrücke verbindet Myawaddy mit Mae Sot
