Patrick II., Earl of Dunbar († Herbst 1248 in Marseille), genannt „5. Earl of Dunbar“, war der älteste Sohn und Erbe von Patrick I., Earl of Dunbar († 1232), und der Ada, einer Tochter König Wilhelms I. von Schottland.
Earl Patrick ist einer der wenigen bekannten Kreuzritter aus Schottland. Er schloss sich 1248 dem Kreuzzug des französischen Königs Ludwig IX. dem Heiligen nach Ägypten (Sechster Kreuzzug) an, als Sühneleistung wegen seiner wiederholten Konflikte mit der Abtei von Tynemouth. Vom Hafen von Marseille aus beabsichtigte er ein Schiff in die Levante zu nehmen um sich dort dem Heer anzuschließen, allerdings starb er noch in dem Hafen, bevor er ablegen konnte.[1][2] Inwiefern weitere Schotten an diesem Kreuzzug teilgenommen hatten, ist unbekannt.[3]
Patrick war verheiratet mit einer Adligen namens Euphemia, die entweder eine Tochter von William de Bruce, 3. Lord of Annandale, oder Walter Stewart, 3. High Steward of Scotland, war. Sie hatten einen gemeinsamen Sohn, Patrick III., Earl of Dunbar († 1289).
