Rage Comic

Rage Comics (englisch [ɹeɪdʒ ˈkɒmɪk], ‚Wutcomic‘) sind ein Internetphänomen, welches erstmals 2008 auf dem englischsprachigen Imageboard 4chan auftauchte und später auf der Website Reddit an Popoularität gewann.[1]

Es handelt sich dabei um mit einfachen Mitteln wie MS Paint erstellte und im Internet veröffentlichte Comicstrips, welche eine Situation des täglichen Lebens zeigen, die den oder die Protagonisten in Wut versetzen und meist eine humorvolle Pointe haben. Typischerweise bedient sich der Autor des Rage Comics hierfür einer Reihe von Ragefaces genannten Zeichnungen. Diese stellen Gesichter dar, welche unterschiedliche Emotionen wie Belustigung, Ärger, Trauer etc. ausdrücken. [2]
