Rick Riordan (* 5. Juni 1964 in San Antonio, Texas) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schriftsteller, der vor allem für seine Romane um den Halbgott Percy Jackson bekannt wurde. Er war auch mit seiner Krimi-Buchreihe Tres Navarre erfolgreich.

Leben

In San Antonio geboren, studierte Rick Riordan Englisch und Geschichte an der University of Texas at Austin und unterrichtete 15 Jahre an Schulen in Kalifornien und San Antonio. 2002 gewann er den Master Teacher Award.
