Die Shark Aero UL ist ein ultraleichtes Sportflugzeug des slowakischen Herstellers Shark Aero.

Geschichte

Anfang 2007 beschlossen Vladimir Pekar (Inhaber einer slowakischen Flugzeugteilefirma) und der tschechische Flugzeugentwickler Jaroslav Dostal einen schnelles Sport-UL zu entwickeln. Anfang 2008 begann der Formenbau und 2009 wurde auf der Aero Friedrichshafen ein Mockup vorgestellt.[1] Am 19. August 2009 erfolgte dann der Erstflug in Breclav[2] mit Radek Škvařil als Pilot. Die LAA Zulassung ist für Anfang 2011 geplant. Bisher liegen mehr als ein Dutzend Bestellungen aus der Slowakei vor.[1]

Konstruktion

Die Shark Aero UL ist ein zweisitziger Tiefdecker mit Einziehfahrwerk. Die beiden 50 l Tanks für den Rotax 912S Motor sind in den Tragflächen untergebracht und erlauben eine Reichweite von 1300 km.[1]
