Fläche 1,259 km² Einwohner (unbewohnt) Egg Island (aleutisch:Ugalĝa) ist eine unbewohnte Insel der Fox Islands und Teil der Aleuten. Sie liegt am östlichen Ende von Sedanka Island und ist 1,3 km² groß. Egg Island ist die östlichste Insel der Aleutians West Census Area. Die Insel beherbergt die größte bekannte Kolonie an Gelbschopflunden.[1]
Der Name „Eier-Insel“ stammt vom russischen Seefahrer Gawriil Andrejewitsch Sarytschew. Er entdeckte das kleine Eiland 1826 auf einer Expedition zur Kartographierung des nördlichen Pazifiks im Auftrag der russischen Marine. Es ist allerdings nicht sicher, ob Sarichev die russischen Bezeichnungen von Egg Island, "Ostrov Ugalgan" bzw. "Ugalgan Island", aus den Karten Krenitzins übernommen hat.
