European Chinese News

European Chinese News war eine chinesischsprachige Zeitschrift, die von 1999 bis 2011 in Deutschland herausgegeben wurde[1]. Das Monatsmagazin wurde in der Druckerei des Obermain-Tagblatts in Lichtenfels gedruckt.

Zeitung

Die Zeitung umfasst 60 Seiten mit Schwarzweiß-Fotos und erscheint monatlich mit einem politischen Schwerpunktthema. Sie wird in Asiashops und Bahnhofkiosks verkauft. Die Auflage beträgt 18000, davon werden 2000 abonniert. Viele Leser sind mit Deutschen verheiratet, was sich in den Themen der Zeitschrift widerspiegelt.

Herausgeber ist der Journalist You Xie, der aus Hainan stammt. Er war Mitgründer der Chinese European Post (früher Chinesische Allgemeine Zeitung). You Xie gründete die European Chinese News am 9. September 1999 in Bamberg. Chefredakteurin ist You Xies Schwägerin Qian Zhang. Viele seiner Freunde sind Korrespondenten der European Chinese News, so in Hamburg, München, Paris, Peking, Taipeh.

Weitere chinesische Zeitschriften, die in Deutschland gelesen werden, sind die Epoch Times, die Tageszeitung Sing Tao, die eher akademische Chinese European Post und das Anzeigenblatt Chinesische Handelszeitung.
