Evgeny Davydov

Jewgeni Witaljewitsch Dawydow (russisch Евгений Витальевич Давыдов; * 27. Mai 1967 in Tscheljabinsk, UdSSR) ist ein ehemaliger sowjetisch/russischer Eishockeyspieler. Mit der Nationalmannschaft der UdSSR wurde er 1990 Weltmeister und mit dem Nachfolgeteam der GUS 1992 Olympiasieger.

Karriere

Dawydow wurde beim NHL Entry Draft 1989 an in der 12. Runde an 235. Stelle von den Winnipeg Jets ausgewählt. Insgesamt brachte er es in der National Hockey League auf 155 Spiele in der regulären Saison und erzielte 79 Punkte (40 Tore/ 39 Assists) sowie 120 Strafminuten. Später spielte er in der NHL noch für die Florida Panthers und Ottawa Senators. Zwischen 1995 und 2003 war er in Europa tätig, unter anderem in der Saison 2001/02 für die Berlin Capitals. Seine letzte Saison verbrachte er dann teils in Russland und teils in Italien.

1990 wurde er mit der Aufnahme in die Russische und sowjetische Hockey Hall of Fame geehrt.
