Alpharetta ist eine Stadt im US-Bundesstaat Georgia mit dem Übernamen "City Of Excellence". Sie liegt im Fulton County und hat 37.870 Einwohner.

Die ersten Siedler kamen etwa 1830 nach Alpharetta. Sie setzten den Namen ihrer Stadt aus den griechischen Wörtern "Alpha" (Erste) und "Retta" (Stadt) zusammen. Als Sehenswürdigkeit gilt heute die historische Innenstadt. Es ist auch die Geburtsstadt von Riley Puckett, einem bedeutenden US-amerikanischen Country und Hillbilly-Musiker und Gitarristen der 1920er und 1930er Jahre.
