Hurstville City ist ein lokales Verwaltungsgebiet (LGA) im australischen Bundesstaat New South Wales. Hurstville gehört zur Metropole Sydney, der Hauptstadt von New South Wales. Das Gebiet ist 23 km² groß und hat etwa 77.000 Einwohner.

Hurstville liegt im Südwesten des inneren Bereichs von Sydney nördlich des Georges River etwa 15 bis 20 km südwestlich des Stadtzentrums von Sydney. Das Gebiet beinhaltet 24 Stadtteile: Gungah Bay, Hurstville Westfield, Jew Fish Point, Kingsway, Kingsway West, Lugarno, Lugarno North, Mortdale Heights, Oatley West, Peakhurst, Peakhurst Heights, Peakhurst South, Peakhurst West und Teile von Allawah, Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills North, Carlton, Hurstville, Kingsgrove, Mortdale, Narwee, Oatley, Penshurst und Riverwood. Der Verwaltungssitz des Councils befindet sich im Stadtteil Hurstville im äußersten Osten der LGA.

Verwaltung

Der Hurstville City Council hat zwölf Mitglieder, die von den Bewohnern der drei Wards gewählt werden (je vier aus Hurstville, Peakhurst und Penshurst Ward). Diese drei Bezirke sind unabhängig von den Ortschaften festgelegt. Aus dem Kreis der Councillor rekrutiert sich auch der Mayor (Bürgermeister) des Councils.
