John Frederick „Jack“ Rowley (* 7. Oktober 1920; † 28. Juni 1998) war ein englischer Fußballspieler und Fußballtrainer.

Karriere

Spielerkarriere

Rowley kam von Bournemouth & Boscombe zu Manchester United für umgerechnet circa 4.400 €. Er war ein Stürmer mit großem Torriecher. Sein Spitzname war The Gunner, die Kanone. Sein ersten Einsatz für United machte Rowley 1937 gegen Sheffield Wednesday. Er gewann mit United 1948 den FA-Cup und 1952 die englische Meisterschaft. Er beendete seine Fußballerkarriere 1955 und spielte insgesamt 408mal für Manchester und erzielte dabei 208 Tore.

Trainerkarriere

1963 war Rowley Trainer von Oldham Athletic. Sein letztes Trainerengagement machte er bei Ajax Amsterdam von 1963 bis 1964.
