John Lawton (* 11. Juli 1946 in Halifax) ist ein englischer Rocksänger, der für seine Arbeit mit Lucifer's Friend (1970-1976; 1981), Uriah Heep (1976-1979) und den Les Humphries Singers (1970er Jahre) bekannt ist.

Im Jahre 2001 veröffentlichte er zusammen mit Ken Hensley das Album The Return, mit dem sie zusammen als die Hensley-Lawton Band auftraten. Die meisten Songs darin stammen ursprünglich noch aus den gemeinsamen Zeiten bei Uriah Heep. Am 7. Dezember 2001 standen Lawton und Hensley während der jährlichen Magician’s Birthday Party in London erstmals mit der heutigen Formation von Uriah Heep auf der Bühne.

Im Jahr 2007 veröffentlichte sein ehemaliger Bandkollege bei Uriah Heep, Ken Hensley, seine Lebensgeschichte (Blood on the Highway - Part I) auf CD. Hier wirkte John Lawton als Gastsänger mit.
