Jumpsuit bezeichnet ursprünglich die einteilige Schutz-/Arbeitskleidung von Fallschirmspringern, jedoch werden heute auch weitere einteilige Kleidungsstücke (mit Ärmeln und Hosenbeinen) so bezeichnet. Hierunter fallen beispielsweise Anzüge für Kampfpiloten (Druckanzug), Rennfahrer, Skifahrer, Mechaniker, Sträflinge oder auch Kleinkinder.

Als Jumpsuit bezeichnet man ferner einen einteiligen durchgehenden Hosenanzug für Frauen. Diesen gibt es in den unterschiedlichsten Varianten: mit kurzem Arm, mit langem Arm, weit ausgestellt (so dass es fast schon wieder einem Kleid ähnelt) oder ganz eng anliegend (wobei hier der Ausdruck Catsuit eher bekannt ist).
