Das altägyptische Grabmal KV2 im Tal der Könige ist das Grab von Pharao Ramses IV. Es liegt unten im Tal zwischen KV1 und KV7.

Details

Ein Großteil des Grabes ist unversehrt und ist verziert mit Wandmalereien von der Litanei des Re, dem Buch der Höhlen, dem Buch der Toten, dem Buch des Amduat und dem Buch der Himmel.

Erforschung

Das Grab wurde vermutlich bereits im Altertum aufgebrochen und die ehemals hier befindliche Mumie in die Grabanlage KV35 verlagert. Es ist in der Neuzeit zunächst von Claude Sicard besucht worden und war anschließend das Ziel von mehreren Archäologen bis hin zu Howard Carter im Jahre 1920.
