Andor Gábor (1950)

Andor Gábor (* 17. Januar 1884 in Újnéppuszta; † 21. Januar 1953 in Budapest) war ein ungarischer Redakteur und Schriftsteller, der zeitweilig in Deutschland lebte.

Leben

Der gebürtige Ungar floh 1919 nach der Niederschlagung der Räterepublik aus seinem Heimatland nach Wien und über Paris nach Berlin. Hier wurde er Mitglied des Bundes proletarisch-revolutionärer Schriftsteller. Als Korrespondent war er für die in der Sowjetunion erscheinende Prawda tätig und wurde Mitarbeiter der kommunistischen Roten Fahne.

1934 emigrierte Gábor in die Sowjetunion und kehrte nach Kriegsende nach Ungarn zurück.

Er war verheiratet mit der Übersetzerin Olga Halpern.
