Lee Joon-ki (* 17. April 1982 in Busan) ist ein südkoreanischer Schauspieler.

Biographie

Seine Karriere begann er als Model. Im Jahr 2001 war er das erste Mal in der TV-Werbung für das So Basic Mode Label zu sehen. Seinen ersten Filmauftritt hatte er als Teenager in der südkoreanischen Serie Nan Eotteokhae (Was soll ich tun?). Später spielte er auch noch eine kleinere Rolle in Star's Echo - einem anderen Fernsehfilm.

Berühmt wurde Lee Joon-ki durch den Film The King and the Clown, welcher 2005 Südkoreas Einspielrekorde brach und somit sogar Taegukgi (Bruderschaft des Krieges) als den meistgesehenen Film in der Geschichte Koreas mit über 12 Millionen Zuschauern ablöste.

Der vorher nahezu unbekannte Schauspieler wurde dadurch zu einer berühmten Persönlichkeit, die man in ganz Südkorea kennt. Seine nächste Rolle war ein Nebendarsteller im südkoreanischen Fernsehserie des Senders SBS My Girl, wo er zusammen mit der Miss Korea Park Si-yeon und großen Stars wie Lee Da-hae und Lee Dong-wook spielt.
