29. U-Flottille: Wappen der 29. Unterseeflottille

Die 29. Unterseebootsflottille, kurz 29. U-Flottille, war ein Verband der deutschen Marine des Zweiten Weltkriegs und gehörte zu den Frontflottillen der U-Bootwaffe. Sie war eine von 33 eingesetzten Flottillen des Krieges.

Geschichte

Die Indienststellung der Flottille erfolgte im Dezember 1941 in La Spezia. Es folgten mehrere Standortwechsel. Die Flottille war in Toulon, Marseille und in Salamis stationiert. Im September 1944 wurde die Flottille aufgelöst. Die letzten in der Flottille verbliebenen Boote U 565 und U 596 wurden in Salamis abgewrackt.
