Majlis al-Nuwaab

Die Madschlis an-Nuwab (arabischمجلس النواب‎‎, DMG Maǧlis an-Nūwāb, „„Abgeordnetenversammlung““) ist das Abgeordnetenunterhaus von Jordanien.

Die Abgeordnetenkammer des jordanischen Parlaments besteht aus 110 gewählten Abgeordneten. Davon werden 104 Abgeordnete jeweils nach vier Jahren gewählt und sechs Sitze werden durch eine besondere Wahl für Frauen reserviert. Neun Sitze sind für Christen bestimmt und drei Sitze sind für Tschetschenen und Tscherkessen reserviert.

Vergangene Wahlen

Die vorletzte Wahl fand am 17. Juni 2003 statt. Am 20. November 2007 wurde in Jordanien erneut gewählt. [1]
