Die auf dem Inselstaat Tuvalu gelegene Mission Funafuti wurde am 10. September 1982 von dem Bistum Tarawa, Nauru and Funafuti abgetrennt. Sie umfasst die gleichnamige Insel Funafuti.

Die Mission besteht aus einem Ordenspriester der Maristenpatres und einer Pfarrei, in welcher 2002 112 Katholiken (1,1 % der Bevölkerung) lebten und hat einen Umfang von 26 km². Die Mission sui Juris untersteht dem Erzbischof von Samoa-Apia als Suffragan.
