Als Erzväter (auch Patriarchen) werden die drei Stammväter der Israeliten im ersten Buch der Bibel, dem 1. Buch Mose (Genesis), bezeichnet.

Teilweise werden sie auch mit ihren Frauen gemeinsam als Erzeltern genannt. Bei diesen handelt es sich um:

Jakobs Söhne gelten als Stammväter der Zwölf Stämme Israels: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Dan, Naftali, Gad, Ascher, Issachar, Sebulon, Josef, Benjamin
