Die Atlas Economic Research Foundation ist eine 1981 von Antony Fisher gegründete Stiftung zur Förderung liberaler Politik. Benannt wurde die Organisation nach dem Roman Atlas Shrugged von Ayn Rand.[1]
Organisation
Das Augenmerk von Antony Fisher richtete sich auf den Aufbau und die globale Vernetzung liberaler Denkfabriken.
Das Budget der Stiftung betrug 2001 etwa 2,5 Millionen US-Dollar. Die in Arlington, Virginia beheimatete Stiftung koordiniert die Kommunikation zwischen ungefähr 200 Denkfabriken und half bislang rund 100 Denkfabriken bei Aufbauarbeiten.
Die Stiftung verleiht seit 1990 jährlich den Fisher Award.
