Antony Fisher

Antony Fisher (* 28. Juni 1915; † 8. Juli 1988) widmete sich der Förderung liberaler Politik. Er gründete 1955 das Institute of Economic Affairs sowie 1981 die Atlas Economic Research Foundation. Fisher war seit 1947 Mitglied der Mont Pelerin Society. Mit Hilfe von Atlas half er über 150 Denkfabriken weltweit zu etablieren, zu den bekanntesten zählen:

Fisher besuchte das Eton College und diente in der Royal Air Force während des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Er starb 1988, vier Wochen nachdem er von Queen Elisabeth II. zum Ritter geschlagen wurde.

Er ist Namensgeber des seit 1990 von der Atlas Economic Research Foundation verliehenen Fisher Awards.
