Priyanka Chopra (hindi: प्रियंका चोपड़ा, Priyankā Coprā, * 18. Juli 1982 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand) ist eine indische Filmschauspielerin in Bollywood. Chopra wuchs in Bareli, Uttar Pradesh auf. Im Jahr 2000 wurde sie zur Miss World gewählt.

Leben
Priyanka studierte in Lakhnau, Bareli und Boston. Nach ihrer Rückkehr aus Boston erhielt sie die Aufforderung, am Femina Miss India-Wettbewerb teilzunehmen, zu dem ihre Eltern sie ohne ihr Wissen angemeldet hatten. Sie gewann den Titel und vertrat ihr Land bei der Miss-World-Wahl 2000, die sie ebenfalls gewann.
Danach ging sie zum Film und spielte in mehreren erfolgreichen indischen Filmen wie Andaaz, Aitraaz und Mujhse Shaadi Karogi mit. Zuletzt auf deutsch erschienen sind ihre Filme Echte Freunde – Dostana und Susannas sieben Leben (7 Khoon Maaf). Gerüchten zu Folge solle Chopra mit ihrem Kaminey-Schauspielkollegen Shahid Kapoor zusammen gewesen sein.
