Seth Ward (* März 1617 in Aspenden, Hertfordshire; † 6. Januar 1689 in Knightsbridge, Middlesex) war ein englischer Mathematiker, Astronom und Bischof.

Während seiner Tätigkeit als Professor an der Universität Oxford veröffentlichte er seine Hauptwerke zur Theorie der Planetenbewegung, im Jahr 1653 erschien In Ismaelis Bullialdi astro-nomiae philolaicae fundamenta inquisitio brevis und 1656 Astronomia geometrica. Zu dieser Zeit führte er auch eine philosophische Auseinandersetzung mit Thomas Hobbes.

Er war Bischof in Exeter[1] und Salisbury.[2]
