Spanish Harlem (auch: El Barrio) ist ein Teil des Bezirks von Manhattan in New York City in den USA. Seit den 1950er Jahren wurde es von Einwanderern aus Puerto Rico ("Nuyoricans" - Komposit aus New York und Ricans (Puertoricaner))/Puertorriqueños und aus der Dominikanischen Republik ("Dominicanyorks" - Komposit aus Dominicans und New York) bevölkert. Zuvor wurde er von Italienern bewohnt.

Spanish Harlem erstreckt sich von der East 96th Street zur East 125th Street und wird durch die Upper East Side, East River, Harlem und dem Central Park begrenzt. Durch den weiteren Zustrom der südamerikanischen Bevölkerung wächst der Stadtteil zunehmend.

In dem Stadtteil wuchsen berühmte Künstler und Schriftsteller wie z. B. Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente und Marc Anthony auf. Er wurde unter anderem von Ben E. King (Spanish Harlem) und Louie Ramirez (Lucy's Spanish Harlem) besungen.
