Das Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, kurz SIPRI (deutsch: Stockholmer internationales FriedensforschungsInstitut), ist eine Einrichtung zur wissenschaftlichen Arbeit an Fragen von Konflikten und Kooperationen im Kontext globaler Entwicklungen bei Frieden und Sicherheit. Es wurde 1966 in Form einer Stiftung durch die schwedische Regierung gegründet.
Seine Untersuchungen zur Rüstungsstärke waren eine von allen beteiligten Staaten anerkannte Zahlengrundlage für die Abrüstungsverhandlungen zwischen Ost und West. Das Stockholmer Friedensforschungsinstitut gibt jährliche Jahresberichte und Sonderdokumentationen heraus, die auf unterschiedliche Herausforderungen der heutigen Globalisierung eingehen.
1982 wurde das Institut mit dem UNESCO-Preis für Friedenserziehung ausgezeichnet.
