The King

The King (* 1968 in Belfast als James Brown) ist ein britischer Sänger.

The King, fünffacher Vater und von Beruf Postbote, veröffentlichte bisher drei Alben, auf denen er im Stile Elvis Presleys und mit sehr ähnlicher Stimme ausschließlich Coverversionen von Liedern bekannter Interpreten wie John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Freddie Mercury und Elvis Presley singt. Sein Debütalbum Gravelands, von dem 160.000 Exemplare verkauft wurden, beschränkte sich dabei auf Lieder bereits verstorbener Interpreten, während sich auf dem Nachfolger Return To Splendor auch Coverversionen der Red Hot Chili Peppers oder von den Rolling Stones befinden.
