Kelly A. Ayotte (* 27. Juni 1968 in Nashua, New Hampshire) ist eine US-amerikanische Politikerin. Seit dem 3. Januar 2011 vertritt sie den Bundesstaat New Hampshire im US-Senat.

Leben

Nach ihrer Schulzeit studierte Ayotte an der Pennsylvania State University und an der Villanova University School Rechtswissenschaften. Nach ihrem Studium war sie von 1994 bis 1998 als Rechtsanwältin in der Kanzlei McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton in Manchester angestellt.

Von Juni 2004 bis Juli 2009 war Ayotte als Attorney General des Staates New Hampshire tätig. Sie ist Mitglied der Republikanischen Partei. Am 5. November 2010 gewann sie die Senatswahlen in New Hampshire gegen den Demokraten Paul Hodes. Sie folgte dem republikanischen Amtsinhaber Judd Gregg, der nicht mehr kandidierte.

Kelly Ayotte ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Sie ist Mitglied der Katholischen Kirche.
