Harry Marshall Ward (* 21. März 1854 in Hereford, England; † 26. August 1906) war ein britischer Botaniker, der sich besonders auf dem Gebiet der Pflanzenpathologie und Mykologie (Pilzkunde) einen Namen machte. Sein botanisch-mykologisches Autorenkürzel lautet „H.M.Ward“.

Leben

Ward wurde 1886 Fellow bei der Linnean Society, ein Jahr später dann 1887 F.R.H.S. (Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society sowie 1889 F.R.S. (Fellow of the Royal Society). 1895 wurde er Professor für Botanik an der Cambridge University nachdem er zwei Jahre zuvor 1893 mit der Royal Medal ausgezeichnet worden war. Wards Sohn war der Pflanzensammler Frank Kingdon-Ward (1885–1958).
