Hasan Tahsin

Hasan Tahsin (* 1888 in Selanik, Osmanisches Reich; † 15. Mai 1919, İzmir) war ein türkischer Journalist und gilt heute in der Türkei als ein Nationalheld. Er soll am 15 Mai 1919 den ersten Gegenschuss im türkischen Befreiungskrieg gegen die griechischen Invasionstruppen abgegeben haben. Er soll einen griechischen Soldaten getötet haben, bevor er selbst erschossen wurde.

In İzmir steht ihm zu Ehren ein Denkmal am Konakplatz.
