JMP

JMP (sprich "jump") ist eine Statistik-Software des Herstellers SAS Institute. Es hat besondere Stärken in der Visualisierung von großen Datenmengen, da Daten interaktiv grafisch untersucht werden können. Weiterhin werden Arbeitsschritte des Benutzers in Form einer Skriptsprache protokolliert und lassen sich so als Makros wiederholen oder automatisieren.

JMP wurde ursprünglich 1989 von John Sall und anderen für den Mac entwickelt. Es wurde 1993 für Microsoft Windows und 2005 für Linux freigegeben. Jedoch wurde Linuxunterstützung mit der Version JMP 9 2010 wieder eingestellt.

JMP stellt einen kompletten Satz statistische Werkzeuge sowie zum Entwurf von Experimenten und von statistischer Qualitätskontrolle in einem einzelnen Paket zur Verfügung. JMP lässt durch Programmierung mittels JSL "JMP Scripting Language" steuern und erweitern.
