Jan z Lublina

Jan z Lublina (auch: Joannis de Lublin, Johannes de Lublin, * um 1490 in Lublin; † um 1550 in Krasnik) war ein polnischer Organist, Chorleiter und Komponist.

Wahrscheinlich war Jan z Lublina Mitglied des Ordens der Canonici regulares in Krasnik und wirkte dort als Organist, Chorleiter und Musiklehrer. Zwischen 1537 und 1548 verfasste er die Tabulatura Jana z Lublina. In der Tabulatur sammelte er neben eigenen Werken die Orgelkompositionen zeitgenössischer polnischer, deutscher und italienischer Meister. Sie gilt als zentrale Quelle zur Geschichte der polnischen und deutschen Orgelmusik und ist mit 520 Seiten die umfangreichste Orgeltabulatur ihrer Zeit. Enthalten sind u.a. Kompositionen von Bianchini, Girolamo Cavazzoni, Heinrich Finck, Clement Janequin, Josquin Desprez, Ludwig Senfl, Thomas Stoltzer, Philippe Verdelot und Mikołaj z Krakowa.
