Peter Joseph Connors

Peter Joseph Connors (* 6. März 1937 in Mordialloc) ist ein australischer Priester und Bischof von Ballarat.

Leben

Der Erzbischof von Melbourne, Justin Daniel Simonds, weihte ihn am 23. Juli 1961 zum Priester und wurde in den Klerus des Erzbistums Melbourne inkardiniert. Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte ihn am 30. März 1987 zum Weihbischof in Melbourne und Titularbischof von Temuniana.

Die Bischofsweihe spendete ihm der Erzbischof von Melbourne, Thomas Francis Little, am 21. Mai desselben Jahres; Mitkonsekratoren waren Ronald Austin Mulkearns, Bischof von Ballarat, und Joseph Peter O’Connell, Weihbischof in Melbourne.

Am 30. Mai 1997 wurde er zum Bischof von Ballarat ernannt und am 23. Juli desselben Jahres in das Amt eingeführt.
