Timothy Anthony McDonnell

Timothy Anthony McDonnell (* 23. Dezember 1937 in New York City) ist Bischof von Springfield.

Leben

Der Erzbischof von New York und Militärvikar der Vereinigten Staaten, Francis Joseph Kardinal Spellman, weihte ihn am 1. Juni 1963 zum Priester und er wurde in den Klerus des Erzbistums Hobart inkardiniert. Papst Johannes Paul II. ernannte ihn am 30. Oktober 2001 zum Titularbischof von Semina und Weihbischof in New York.

Der Erzbischof von New York, Edward Michael Kardinal Egan, spendete ihm am 12. Dezember desselben Jahres die Bischofsweihe; Mitkonsekratoren waren Henry Joseph Mansell, Bischof von Buffalo, und Robert Anthony Brucato, Weihbischof in New York.

Am 9. März 2004 wurde er zum Bischof von Springfield ernannt und am 1. April desselben Jahres in das Amt eingeführt.
