Das Vilâyet Beirut im Osmanischen Reich
Das Vilâyet Beirut (türkisch Beyrut Vilayeti) war eine administrative Verwaltungseinheit (Provinz , tr. Vilâyet) des Osmanischen Reiches.
Es wurde im Jahre 1888 gegründet. Das Vilayet bestand aus fünf Sandschaks. Die Hauptstadt war Beirut.
Im Vorfeld des Ersten Weltkrieges wurde das Gebiet im Sykes-Picot-Abkommen 1916 Frankreich zugesprochen. Frankreich eroberte das türkische Gebiet schließlich in diesem Krieg. 1920 wurde das Gebiet dem französischen Völkerbundmandat für Syrien und Libanon einverleibt.
